Having used the forum a little, I have the following observations:

Despite ticking "always stay logged in", I have to log in afressh each time.

The page always opens at the bottom, usually showing empty space thus giving the impression that the page hasn't opened.

Sometimes the last few topic boxes don't show.

Eric

Tom is on the case with scrolling problem.

There should be a sticky button under 'additional options' only appears if you are a moderator and have clicked 'modify'.

I think the scrolling should be improved. It uses JavaScript which is temromental, so I would be grateful for any feedback.

It should automatically resize the frame each time the forum page is loaded (e.g. if you click a link or press the refresh button). If this doesn't happen please let me know.

I've tested it on Windows XP with Firefox, Opera, MS IE 6.0, Mozilla.

MMmm. After having a tricky time registering with the new website, it does strike me as quite minimal, which I guess is the idea - clear and simple.

I do find that on the page, before you enter a forum topic, the message board section on the right, is slightly off the screen - a bit irratating. If the webmaster can fix it so the main section of the site is shfted a bit to the left, that would be great. I don't think they have invented wide screen moniters, yet.

Last point. There doesn't appear to be a section for career advice. I was hoping that it would be under the topic; Training, but it doesn't seem to be the case. If the webmaster(s) can add a Career & Advice topic to aid people through the tricky path of career choices within the complex sector of 'sustainablity', changing career, or just a sounding board for gripes & moans, that would be wonderful!

Cheers

Hi Vincent

Thanks for making the effort.

Webmaster notified of your screen issue but will need to know what browser and screen resolution you have. Works on my 17" widescreen iMac and 12" powerbook so not a size issue per se.

Re new forum for careers we do have a jobs offered and wanted with no posting yet so perhaps you could ask or offer advice there. If you want to rant then there is a forum for that.

Easy to add forums but makes it all more complex.

The forum should not be overflowing to the right of the screen, unless using a very low resolution screen. Vincent - do you know what resolution you are using (e.g. 800x600) and what width your monitor is (e.g. 17"). If the resolution is very low and a very small screen this might be causing the problem, but if not it is a bug, and needs to be sorted.
Thanks for pointing it out though, if there is anything else not quite right, please let me know....

Cheers Tom for your input regarding my gripes about the forum.
Yes, you are correct in stating that I am on a very low resolution. Been used to this crap PC for so long I've just got used to the inadequacies of my 9 year old computer. Time to get a new one.
