The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, SPAB, is looking for refurb projects on four historic, vernacular buildings which can be studied to improve our understanding of the 'energy behaviour' of traditional buildings (including temperature, air moisture movement, and how these vary with differing weather, before and after insulation projects.

They are looking to start monitoring now, on buildings due to be retrofitted next year.

More information about the types of projects they are looking for, and the rationale for the research, in the pdf attached.
