I agree with all you've said there Phil.  I'm trying to get planning for an eco hamlet of 8 new zero carbon houses at the moment in a rural location.  We'll see how it gets on.

I have read the article "Sustainable development in a pickle" and i wanted to ask you what does "the Green Great and the Good" stand for? I am a foreigner and i can't find its meaning. Can someone please answer me?

The "Great and Good" are the people who lead us, supposedly; the government, the rich and the famous.  The Green Great and Good and the ones who do it in a more sustainable way, supposedly.
