Free retrofit coordinator training in Wales.

Funding available for training in Cardiff thanks to Construction Wales Innovation Centre.

Our partner organisation, Osmosis are delighted to advise that the Retrofit Academy’s renowned Retrofit Coordinator Diploma is running in Cardiff this summer – and eligible organisations can attend absolutely free. This is thanks to funding from the Construction Wales Innovation Centre (CWIC).

It is a six-day course, totalling 48 hours of expert-led learning focused on delivering high quality retrofit projects. The course has been attended by hundreds of built environment and housing professionals since 2014, and usually costs £2000 plus VAT.  For full information about the course, please see the Osmosis website.

The dates are:

Block One – Bob Prewett

Start date/time – 19th July at 09.30

End date/time  – 20th July at 18.00

Block Two – Peter Rickaby

Start date/time – 10th August at 09.30

End date/time – 11th August 18.00

Block Three – Sarah Price / Bob Prewett

Start date/time – 21st Sept at 09.30

End date/time – 22nd Sept at 18.00

Any housing or built environment professional can apply who is either based in Wales OR active in Wales. Self-builders are not eligible.

The courses were only posted on the CWIC website yesterday, so we would like to give you the opportunity to get your application in early. There are only 15 places available, and they will be snapped up quickly. To apply, candidates need to click:  http://www.uwtsd.ac.uk/cwic/about-our-courses/diploma-in-domestic-retrofit-coordination—risk-management—19-july—22-september/ . You cannot book on to these courses directly through The Retrofit Academy or the AECB – you need to book through CWIC.

If successful, further courses will be scheduled later in the year across Wales – so in theory anybody eligible who applies should get a chance to take up the offer at some stage.
