‘Hedge Home’ is finalist in The Sunday Times British Homes Award 2017.

Waparchitects are shortlisted for award which will be judged by public vote.

Congratulations to AECB members, waparchitects who are finalists in The Sunday Times British Homes Awards 2017  competition.  This called for ‘homes worthy of our green and pleasant land’ and to celebrate the ‘town-country ideal’ in a new garden city.

Bryan Parkin from waparchitects said: “Our concept design ‘Hedge Home’ continues our ideas of integrating landscape design with zero carbon homes.  It addresses the difficult issue of achieving the garden city ideal when the need is for large houses on relatively small plots, by wrapping the homes in planted living walls and roofs to create an inhabited ‘hedgerow”.

The finalists were published in the 30 July edition of The Sunday Times and are now subject to a public vote.  All the four shortlisted designs can be seen on The Sunday Times website http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/bha
