Double Award Success for Mike Wye & Associates Ltd
Congratulations to AECB Members, Mike Wye & Associates Ltd from North Devon on their recent awards. They were named ‘Best Builders Merchant for Self Builders’ at the Build It Awards in September and have since gone on to achieve ‘Best Rural Manufacturing Business’ at the Rural Business Awards.
There was strong competition from large national and regional companies at the Build it Awards hosted in London so Mike Wye was thrilled to receive the award in recognition the customer service which his team offer. Ryan Stojic, the General Manager at Mike Wye & Associates said:
“As an independent merchant, it’s an honour for Mike Wye & Associates to be acknowledged in the Build It Awards for our passion and ambitions towards sustainable construction. We recognise that self builders and home owners are more knowledgeable than ever and are conscious of the environmental impact of modern construction. Our products and systems provide sustainable solutions which meet the requirements of current building standards, but minimise the impact on our health and the environment.”
Their next award took place at the Rural Business Award Ceremony in the Midlands last month where they were named ‘Best Rural Manufacturing Business’. The Rural Business Awards are run in partnership with the CLA (Country Land and Business Owners Association), and give recognition to businesses operating across all sectors in rural areas in the UK. Ryan Stojic was at the award ceremony and said:
“To be acknowledged by The Rural Business Awards amongst such a diverse and passionate shortlist of finalists is testament to the hard work, dedication and passion demonstrated by the entire team at Mike Wye & Associates. We hope that others setting out in business in rural parts of Devon (or other counties for that matter) will look at success stories like ours, and have the confidence that rural business can thrive.”

The company have also been shortlisted for two awards at the Devon Environmental Business Initiative Awards which will take place on the 24th November.
