Abstract
This submission focuses on the design of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) 2015 agreement, and in that context, addresses the role and emissions reductions necessary in the urban built environment – currently responsible for over 70% of all greenhouse gas emissions – in order to keep global average temperature increases under 2°C above pre-industrial levels.
