Scotland group, AECB/SEDA green drinks – Passivhaus with PHT
February 14 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
You are warmly invited to join an informal blether / information sharing over a drink / to hear about The Challenges and Benefits of Passivhaus in Large Projects, 6-9pm Thursday 14 February at Paterson’s Land Room G21, Moray House School of Education, Holyrood Road / St John’s Street, Edinburgh EH8 8AQ.
Jonathan Hines is a board member of the UK Passivhaus Trust, Chair of Passivhaus Trust Scotland, and managing director of Architype, one of the UK’s leading Passivhaus architects.
He will give an update of the activities of the UK Passivhaus Trust around the UK and in Scotland, and share Architype’s experiences of applying Passivhaus to a range of large scale projects.
Jonathan will illustrate the challenges and benefits that Architype has encountered in proposing, delivering and monitoring Passivhaus in primary and secondary schools, university buildings, archive and repository stores, and large scale residential projects in England and Wales.
Given the Scottish Government’s ambitious climate change targets, he will question why larger scale Passivhaus hasn’t yet taken off in Scotland, and explore how we might change this?
Opportunities for shout outs sharing your Passivhaus projects – bring max 5 slides for 5 mins contribution!
Free entrance – there will be light refreshments available from 6pm for those that come early!
