All AECB Members welcome at the Birmingham Local Group activities coming up . . . .

28th of July  Trevor Hayes of Birmingham Council has kindly agreed to host us again and the theme will be “Highlighting the Burning Issues”.  Please let us know what your current ‘burning issue’ either by bringing it along to the meeting or letting us know in advance.  Time  5.30 for 6.00 (to be confirmed)

The first topic on the agenda, courtesy of Sandy, is: ‘Issues of thermally up-grading existing housing stock, particularly with regard to the problems of vapour control and interstitial condensation with internal insulation solutions?’

9th September.  A site visit to the Oakmeadow and Bushbury Passivhaus Schools in Wolverhampton designed by Architype.  Oakmeadow at 1.30pm and Bushbury at 3.30pm.

Tuesday 27th September 2011.  A presentation by Bernard Perkins (Craydene Associates) on ‘Energy and the Built Environment’ followed by John Christopher (Zero Carbon House)
