EnergyPro Ltd have been awarded a Government contract to develop ‘ESCO-in-a-box’ – a new concept for increasing the uptake of energy efficiency projects by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The ESCO-in-a-box system will equip organisations such as community energy groups with a standardised toolkit – including project processes and documentation, vetted technology partners and contractors, and sources of finance – to deliver energy efficiency projects for SMEs.

We are working with a consortium of organisations to pilot the concept in Oxfordshire.  We will be setting up a new Community Energy Service Company (CESCO) in partnership with Low Carbon Hub, to begin serving local SMEs later this year.

Dr. Steve Fawkes has over 30 years experience in energy efficiency including delivering large energy management programmes, co-founding three energy service companies, implementing innovative energy services transactions, and advising governments. He founded EnergyPro, which provides advice, asset management and investment to accelerate the energy transition. EPAL, EnergyPro’s JV with EESL has invested more than £60m in energy efficiency since March 2017. He has received awards from the Energy Institute, the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy and the Indian Business Group.
