Saw constant volume dampers used on a project yesterday, very interesting idea for MVHR and MEV systems.

My concerns are life and additional fan power as they need 50Pa supply to deliver rated flow.
Also would have to be chosen to set the maximum boost flow rate and I'm not sure what would happen across the system at lower fan speeds.
Anyone got any experience or leads?

Clearly these don't really allow a variable flow rate – suggestion was to set for your normal flow rate and have few terminals without constant volume for high flow rate setting so that boost is focussed on living room and kitchen say.

Hmm. Interesting. Fan power aside for a moment why may these be benefitial? Balancing the system?
