As an anti-airconditioning sort of person,  I got a bit interested in Evaporative cooling last year following the realisation that the big DIY stores were pushing conventional energy-guzzling AC. (evaporative cooling is simply blowing air over a wet material)
I know all you proper low-energy folk are thinking that sensible buildings stay cool without any cooling 'kit'.  However, maybe some benefit could come from evaporative cooling for some buildings even in our climate?
Just wondered if anyone in the UK has succesfully tried Evaporative cooling.
