In AECB Newsletter http://www.gaulhofer.com/en/home or http://www.ecoframesystems.com
“Due to their generous glass areas Gaulhofer Glassline windows have a completely open view allowing 10% more light into the home and saving valuable heating costs”
But they look like standard PH sections to me – am I missing something?
But Uw 1.1 for all-aluminium windows is a breakthrough AFAIK?
Will the PVC ones be incl in Ecoframe's range?

I don't see that, from the published details. It's not like Velfac, where opening lights have same sightline as fixed – or if it does have same sightline it's because the fixed lights are unusually bulky, to equal the opening lights.

Or it may be that these PH-standard windows are no more bulky than pre-PH Uw 1.1 windows? That would be worthwhile.

How about Vitrocsa (Swiss/Portugese bespoke and expensive) – all aluminium but not yer average – incl 3G – “Vitrocsa TH+ series can achieve a u-value as low as 0.8 W/m² K”. Their UK website is rubbish but they're v keen and helpful on the phone. Will be interested to hear what you think of them.

Velfac were showing some windows at Ecobuild which are higher spec than 200 with the same style frame – I'm not sure if they were '200i' or Helo. They don't seem to be on the website yet, but I think they were available to order, or will be soon – I'm not planning to build for a couple of years so it wasn't material for me! I'm pretty sure they were doing sliding doors, as that is what I was looking for.
I also liked the look of Rationel's Auraplus windows – I can't see the U values on their info, but I remember I was impressed. Don't know if they do sliding doors.
