Having looked through the Prescriptive Standards a couple of times I can only find one mention of parasitic power, this relates to the Silver standard boiler. What about other parasitic power such as the pumps used on certain solar water heaters, GSHPs, etc.? (This consideration of parasitic power could also cover the efficiency of converters for photovoltaic arrays.)
Surely the standards should specify that all pumps etc. should be 'A' rated or a minimum energy use. Related to this topic, is there much variety between one 'A' rated pump and the next? Perhaps this should be picked up as well (as it has been with appliances.)
NOTE: This question arises from the forum discussion on the Grundfoss Alpha-pro https://aecb.net/forum/index.php?topic=627.0
