Hi all
Would I be right in thinking that rockfloor would be the preferred
choice for under slab insulation.

If this is Rockwool's rigid slab, then yes it would be OK. You might like to check the minimum density of RW slab suitable for your loading then use that. The cost goes up almost in direct proportion to density, other factors being equal.
See also discussion “Beware the blanket approach” on this forum but whether you can extract the key lessons from the rest of that discussion I don't know!
