Typically by weight you use less lime ( hydrated lime 481 kg per cubic metre / portland cement 1506 kg per cubic metre ) unless of course you count the weight of water in lime putty.

Certain types of internal wall insulation are designed to promote high levels of surface evaporation on the internal face of the wall, as long as the relative humidity in the room is lower than the wall.
Internal insulation may not always prevent the wall drying out.

To use the 20.7C floor example output @delta T 0.7C ( room temperature 20C ) is 500w output @ delta T 15.7C ( room temperature 5C ) is 11.2KW, so considerably more heat input is available to warm up from cold without any additional controls.

            Yes that does sound sensible.

So since the message has droppped with the investors – why are British architects still putting fossile technology into the idiots homes?

May be the lack of room for stored hot water, the alternative of electric instant hot water heating might put a bit of strain on the grid.

Actually if the slab has say five times the heat capacity ( due to being massive ) of the water content it might only stray slightly over in any case, if the floor cuts out at 20C and the water supplied is at 25C the overshoot will be only 1C
I seem to recall from the days of wet photography TMVs used to control waterbath temperatures for black & white process lines ( 20C ) , whether they are still available I don't know.

Given the lack of government action in these matters I keep hoping for the price breakthrough that will lead to mass adoption, hence asking for an opinion on where that price point might be ( clearly not £45,000 )
I fully accept your case as put in your last three posts but as with most on here you're preaching to the converted, I just worry about how to win people round while all things eco as perceived as luxuries for the privileged.

Given that £45,000 equates to around 30% of the price of a semi ( £150,000 around here ) I think there is some way to go before passive house refurb is seen as affordable. The people who would benefit the most struggle to afford basic maintenance, at this level whole areas would be left out in the cold.
It might be an idea to define affordable, what percentage of house price would be acceptable to:-
                        a, House owner occupiers?
                        b, Grant providers?
                        c, Landlords?

                          Just some thoughts.
Keep the volume of potable water stored as low as possible to avoid legionella.
Only heat enough water by immersion heater to cater for immediate demand.
Set the immersion heater temperature as low as possible to maximize solar component of water heating.
Given the above, a properly optimized thermal store seems a more likely bet than a hot water cylinder as it avoids the need to heat the full volume above 60C to kill bacteria.

Do mirrors steam up in well insulated bathrooms? In a well insulated house the walls will tend to be at a steady room temperature and the mirror will be at the same temperature as the walls.
In my own ( warm ) bathroom the mirror which is on an internal wall never steams up, the wc cistern on the other hand is sopping wet after every shower.

To sum up the earth is surrounded by an effectively infinite amount of insulation the vacuum of space it is therefore not possible to increase the amount of insulation whatever you put in the atmosphere .
All heat loss is due to radiation not conduction.

The easiest way to see if it sticks is to mix up a little lime wash in a jam jar to test on an off cut , apply very thin coats if you can see much difference between coats it's probably too thick.

A triple coil tank seems bizarre in this application as radiators , underfloor heating , boiler and stove can be directly connected to a thermal store . It is important to ensure correct loading of the store ( eg Laddomat heat charger on stove ) but given good stratification there is no reason the stove option in itself should affect the efficiency of the solar . Weather compensation controlling a bivalent mix valve can be used to favor a solar contribution to heating , as Alec said probably underfloor only .
Given correct plumbing the boiler should run for long efficient condensing burns , control and modulation being delegated to the thermal store.
