You're right I did misunderstand your point.
It's certainly something I'll be looking into.
There are a few issues involved. Driving rain moisture is a capillary mechanism. As I understand it the finger air gap between skins in the wall will inhibit this somewhat. There are of course header courses and debris in the gap to consider.
I will be measuring the moisture in the internal brick skin before setting the experiment rolling. Also, as there is a control, I should get a baseline, with careful placement.
We were shown some examples from the Delphin4 software at the EBS seminar. Dr Plagge described WUFI as “much simpler to use”. My understanding of Wufi was that it was anything but simple. I will be trying to obtain some modelling for the research.
