Free Place on the AECB CarbonLite Retrofit Course

Fran Bradshaw, Deputy Chair of AECB Conveys her Message from the Latest Conference

As you will be aware, we held our Conference recently and we wanted to let you know the message which was given to members there by Fran Bradshaw, Deputy Chair.

Fran conveyed her thanks, on behalf of all the Trustees, to all members for their contributions which have allowed us to contribute to the on-going national debate on the future of our buildings.  Not only this, but we have successfully launched the AECB CarbonLite Retrofit Course, again as a result of contributions.

The AECB’s strapline is ‘Building Knowledge,’ and we are eager to see this increase as much as possible.  Members were urged to contribute their projects to the LEBD database, share knowledge on our forum, get involved on Facebook and Twitter and at local group events and regional events which we will be organising over the next year.

We want to explore new projects and  fund a role for a new member of staff. We want to strengthen connections between members, local groups and the Trustees through a series of UK wide regional events supported by regional co-ordinators . Funding will be required these roles.

As an organisation relying on its membership funding for independence, we are calling for your help to spread the word about us and encourage others to join the AECB.

As a thank you and encouragement to do so, there is a free place on the CarbonLite Retrofit Course to the 100th and 200th new member.

Please get involved with us on Social Media and forward our newsletter to people you think would be interested and do feel free to bring non members to local group events so they get a feel for what we are about.

Thank you for your continued support of the AECB, it really is appreciated.
