This is a new group which Iain Kirkpatrick has kindly volunteered to run.

About the group: Iain envisages the group developing a local network of like minded people, keen to inform and learn from others on the dynamic subject of environmentally conscious building. This will likely include site visits, case studies, networking (virtual and face to face) and with a local focus, aiming to build upon the AECB information platform by engaging related fields.

Iain KirkpatrickHi, I am Iain and currently working with Butler & Young Ltd, Corporate Approved Inspectors.  I am a Chartered Building Engineer and Environmentalist specialising in building regulation compliance for roughly 23 years throughout the UK. The most recent 10 of these years, has seen my increasing interest in environmentally conscious building, having gained a Masters Degree in Energy & Sustainable Building Design during this time.”

We are delighted to announce that EASCA (Environmental & Sustainable Construction Association) is becoming part of the AECB – they are Irish group who are all committed to sustainable building and this merger will help to bring the UK & Ireland closer together as we drive the sustainable agenda forward.
