There is an exciting wave of change happening in the UK sustainable building industry. The Welsh assembly recently voted through new legally-binding carbon emissions targets for the country, with more energy efficient new builds among the strategies for reducing emissions.

This AECB Wales group is being established because I believe that together we can inspire, develop and share our expertise in sustainable building practice.

 Meet the group leader:

Hi, I’m Jasper Meade and with over 25 years’ experience in the sustainable building industry, I am committed to providing quality low energy solutions for high performance buildings. We have our own off-site house building factory in Wales producing fully engineered, insulated and air-tight closed panels using timber I-beams. I champion the growth of Passive House in the UK, particularly in Wales and frequently speak at building conferences.

I am a director on the board of Woodknowledge Wales, focusing on the development of companies involved in the supply, demand and use of timber in construction in Wales. I’m also a member of the Alliance of Sustainable Building Products. Believing firmly in education and innovation for the future, I regularly conduct CPD seminars at architect practices and universities.
