Nidhi Shah
Nidhi Shah

Nidhi is a Passivhaus enthusiast with commitment to sustainable and low energy buildings. Her major concern is the health and wellbeing of building occupants. She has both academic and industry experience working in multiple construction sectors including commercial, education and residential, where she has completed low energy Passivhaus Standard housing. She currently works at D5 architects and promotes better building standards through her work. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, baking and painting with her daughter and is also a keen cyclist.

Oliver Chapman

Oliver Chapman is an architect and lecturer at Birmingham City University, where he is keen to inspire young designers to develop an understanding of how craft and technology can lead to environmentally conscious design and early consideration of sustainable construction practices.

Oliver studied at University of Liverpool, Queen’s University Belfast and BCU, and joins Birmingham City University following work in several architectural practices in the roles of Project Architect and BIM champion.

In his experience in practice he was worked across a spectrum of scales, from furniture design to house extensions, airports to urban masterplans. He has experience of a range of clients in residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, transport, healthcare, civic and education sectors and has developed projects from conception to completion.

In his role at BSoAD, Oliver works with students from all disciplines as coordinator of SuperStudio and has a keen interest in promoting transdisciplinary practices in a theoretical and practical setting.
