AECB News : New passivhauses in Norfolk
2 new semi-detached passivhauses in a lovely Norfolk Broads village site, are being built using the Passivhaus Homes PH15 timber frame kit. Designed by PHT members Fran Bradshaw of Anne Thorne Architects with Passivhaus Homes, these houses are looking for owners!
Fran and partner bought the site after a horrible, (that is price maximising) planning consent was obtained by another developer, in the hope they could design something better for the village, better for inhabitants and better for the environment. Our design is a traditional asymmetrical end gable building, of rendered walls and pantiled roofs, L- shaped, enclosing small south facing courtyards and with gardens.
The timber framers are currently at work, and Fran is hoping they can find purchasers soon, who would like to buy the shell, and be in charge of the finishing stage, making their own home, with as much help from us as they want. So if you know of anybody looking for houses in Norfolk, please pass on these details.
The houses are 10 minutes walk from Hickling Broad, with seaside and sandy beach 3 miles away
