Our projects in London and southern England include residential, healthcare, sport, education, historic buildings and retirement housing, all including sustainable thinking.

We’ve designed buildings to Passivhaus and Level 6 (carbon neutral) of the Code for Sustainable Homes and we continually seek to improve the energy performance of our projects.

scope Architects and Certified Passivhaus Designers
aims Two new four-bedroom, three-storey houses on a corner plot in Ilford, East London. The clients’ brief, when appointing Accredited Passivhaus Design, was for a contemporary design solution, which the Redbridge planners endorsed.
measures Both houses are designed to be certified to the Passivhaus standard.

scope Architects and Certified Passivhaus Designers
aims This new contemporary house in the Oxfordshire countryside is designed to provide supremely comfortable accommodation on the site of former agricultural and storage buildings.
measures The new house and adjoining live/work units are expected to be certified to the Passivhaus low energy standard, which requires energy use to be reduced to a realistic minimum whilst remaining warm inside, even in the middle of winter.

scope Architects and Certified Passivhaus Designers
aims Gales Place is the first Passivhaus project commissioned by Crawley Borough Council to provide affordable housing for local residents.

This new development is located on a complex site and provides a new urban space next to an existing community centre, safe routes to the adjacent primary school and car parking for residents and other local people. It provides six flats and seven houses built to the high comfort and low bills of the Passivhaus standard.
measures With triple glazing, lots of insulation and a ventilation system providing filtered pre-warmed air the heating bills for a typical
2 bedroom house are predicted to be about £15 per month or less than 50p per day.
