STBA-SPAB Conference 13th June in London – reduced rate for AECB members

One day conference on ‘Context, continuity and change’

The conference will be opened by a keynote from Peter Rickaby of the“Each Home Counts” Implementation Board. However, the topics include not only energy efficiency and carbon but also the wider, often overlooked, issues of sustainability.

Presentations include

  • sustainability via maintenance (John Preston, IHBC),
  • building pathology & BS7913 (John Edwards, CIOB)
  • healthy buildings (Ian Mawditt, Fourwalls & Simon Corbey, ASBP)
  • and a fresh approach to mortgage survey for sustainability (Steven Hodgson, PCA)

In addition, Sofie Pelsmakers (Sheffield University), Caroline Rye (Archimetrics & SPAB) and Natasha Ginks (De Montfort University) will present their research into thermal upgrades of floors, walls and windows.
